Claudia Castelán, better known as Chispillatronik, was born in a cold winter in the city of Puebla, México. She has developed as a teacher, youth and creative processes researcher with young people through exhibitions and media as radio and television.
Studied Communications at the Universidad Iberoamericana (México), has a Degree in Project and Visual Culture Studies at the University of Barcelona. In 2009 received a mobility grant from the University of Girona to study an MA in Youth and Society, and currently she’s at PhD Arts and Education at the University of Barcelona. She studies issues related to youth cultures, methods of research and queer theory.
Sometimes she sings, performs dj sessions and experiments with music. She has exhibited video, installation and photography in México, Spain and Latvia. She currently lives in a quiet flat in Barcelona and wants to have a cat.
