Erika Rascón



Erika was born in Anáhuac, Chihuahua, México in 1976. She studied Fine Arts at Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua,where actually teaches Painting, Photography, Serigraphy, Colour Theory and Drawing since 2005. She has also being teaching Philosophy of Art, Theory of Visual Arts and Aesthetics since 2014. She got her Master Degree in Visual Arts and Photography at Escuela Nacional de Artes Plásticas, UNAM (Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México).

She has been coordinator and manager of cultural and artistic affairs. She organized the First Feminist and Gender Studies Encounter (Chihuahua, México). Rascón has collaborated on special projects as a performance director and currently is the coordinator of the special projects area at the Cultural Laboratory of the North.

As a visual artist she has participated in over thirty national and international exhibitions. Creates the Street art and process art, VIVAS Project, shoefiti and visual poetry in crosswalk (México, 2016 and ongoing).

Miss Rascón has published several photographic series in the Synthesis magazine of Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua (2008, 2009 and 2014), in the Memoria de la Academia de Artes (Art Academy Memoir, 2001-2010, Mexico City) and in the catalogue of the exhibition Ouroboros, a Mexican Cycle, featuring the works of Pablo López Luz, Fernando Montiel Klint and Dulce Pinzón, China, 2012). She’s a Wikipedia`s Editor since 2016.
